Fall Concert 2023 – “Love and Music Endure”

“Love and Music are the last things to go.”
Experience the power of music as a meaningful response to dementia in the poignant but hopeful “Alzheimer’s Stories” by Robert Cohen. This 30-minute work will feature soloists, a chamber orchestra, and the 100-voice Hickory Choral Society under the leadership of Dr. Ryan Luhrs. The concert will also include music by Marques Garrett, Ron Nelson, Susan LaBarr, Jacob Narverud and Mark Butler.
This concert is a part of the Art of Compassion – a dynamic community initiative that promotes connections between people and organizations, to demonstrate Acts of Kindness. Through the power of the arts, education and entertainment, the Art of Compassion encourages support and love for others.
